McLeod Casting is thrilled to announce the opening of McLeod Casting Queensland in Ashmore on the Gold Coast. The Managing director of the McLeod Casting Queensland, Brad McMurray is “excited to be teamed with a casting director of Thea McLeod’s calibre to bring a uniquely Queensland based approach to the Mcleod Casting Group.”
Founder of the McLeod Casting Group, Thea McLeod says, “as part of the McLeod Casting Group, McLeod Casting Queensland will cast outstanding performers using its unique eye for talent” .
With a permanent presence in the Gold Coast McLeod Casting Queensland provides Queensland based productions with the opportunity to discover and cast the best actors for every production. McMurray said that “I’ve worked hard to expose Queensland actors talent with dedication to their craft. I now find myself in a very fortunate position with McLeod casting to highlight that talent on a much larger scale”
McLeod Casting’s expansion into Queensland is timely given the impact of global lockdowns in response to the COVID-19 crisis, which has seen an influx of international productions arrive on Australian shores.
Film and television production was one of many industries particularly hard-hit by international lockdowns, leaving Australian actors and creatives encouraged by the prospect of further international productions within Australia.
